Accessibility
Our Commitment
Mare & Oak is committed to ensuring that this website is accessible to people with disabilities. We are continually working to improve the user experience for all visitors.
Conformance Status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. WCAG 2.2 defines requirements that make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Level AA is the widely recognized standard referenced in accessibility law and regulation.
The site is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partial conformance means that some areas of the site may not yet fully meet all criteria, particularly within the interactive Contact Flow. We are actively working to close those gaps.
Scope
This statement applies to the website at mareandoak.com, including all pages and the Contact Flow (Intake Form, Intake Agent conversation, Context Summary, and Booking).
Assessment Approach
We assess accessibility through:
- Self-evaluation — manual keyboard navigation testing and review against WCAG 2.2 criteria
- Automated tooling — Playwright-based accessibility checks using axe-core, run as part of our test suite
Known Limitations
The following areas are under active review:
- Contact Flow interactive elements — The chat-based Intake Agent interface and in-chat Booking experience are complex dynamic components. We are reviewing keyboard navigation, focus management, and screen reader compatibility in these areas.
We aim to address known gaps as part of ongoing site development.
